Copper Mountain's peak seasons occur from
January to March and Late June to Early-September as well as during
the holidays. During the off-peak seasons, you can usually find better
rates on lodging and occasionally two-for-one deals at local restaurants.
April provides great deals on lodging, skiing and dining. A hugely
popular event is the free music series during the spring festival "Sunsation".
This 2-3 week long event is not to be missed. June and September offer
peak conditions for summer recreation. Most summer events and activities
kick off on Memorial Day Weekend and run strong until the end of September.

Altitude
Issues in Copper Mountain
Above 8,000 feet, altitude illness affects 20 percent to 30 percent of
visitors from low elevations to some degree. The first thing most people
notice is a shortness of breath, especially when exercising. In addition,
the heart is likely to beat faster and one may develop nausea, fatigue,
headache, or have difficulty sleeping. If you develop one or more of
these symptoms you may have Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). If these symptoms
do not subside within a day or two, consult a doctor.
Alcohol
The minimum age for buying alcohol or consuming alcoholic beverages in
the United States is 21 years of age. Beer, wine and liquor may be
purchased at specialty liquor stores until 2:00 AM Monday through
Saturday. Alcohol is not served at bars and restaurants beyond 2:00
AM on any night of the week. A valid form of photo identification (passport
or international driver's license, etc.) may be required upon purchase
of alcohol or for entry to bars and nightclubs.

Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards are widely accepted at the
Copper Mountain Ski Resort and throughout Copper Mountain Village, in
addition to Traveler’s
Cheques. ATM machines accept most cards for a small fee and are located
at various on-mountain locations and throughout the village.

Copper Mountain time is quoted in Mountain Standard Time (MST). In observance
of Daylight Savings Time (MDT), clocks are set forward one hour in late
March or early April and are set back one hour in late October.

the Copper Mountain Ski Resort, Copper Mountain as a whole is served
by a free transportation system. The free bus travels through
Copper Mountain, connecting the resort's base areas and free parking
